1. About the service

Budget Explorer helps visitors discover places, compare available information, save favourites, submit place suggestions and ratings, explore partner offers, and build indicative travel itineraries based on the information they enter and data available from third parties. Features may change as the service develops.

Unless a page expressly says otherwise, Budget Explorer does not own, operate, inspect or represent the businesses, attractions, shops, restaurants, accommodation providers, transport operators or merchants displayed. A listing is not a recommendation that guarantees quality, safety, suitability or availability.

2. Third-party information, estimates and travel plans

Place details may be retrieved from Google Maps Platform/Google Places, user submissions, partner feeds or other sources. Names, addresses, opening hours, ratings, photos, prices, routes, availability and other details may be incomplete, delayed, estimated or changed by the original provider. Ratings and reviews may belong to third-party services and are not necessarily reviews submitted to Budget Explorer.

Budgets, prices, distances, walking times and itineraries are estimates for planning purposes only. They are not a quote, reservation, ticket, guarantee of opening hours, guarantee of access, or guarantee that a connection or departure can be made. Check critical details with the relevant business, official transport operator or ticket issuer before relying on them.

3. Travel Planner disclaimer

The Travel Planner generates suggested itineraries from the destination, dates, times, budget, interests and third-party information available when the plan is generated. It cannot reliably account for every closure, queue, delay, disruption, traffic condition, mobility requirement, local restriction or personal circumstance. You remain responsible for checking schedules, travel documents, entry rules, booking conditions, safety notices, opening hours and final costs.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct or mandatory consumer rights.

4. Partner offers and affiliate links

Some offers and outbound links are affiliate or sponsored links, including links routed through TradeDoubler. If you click such a link and complete an eligible purchase or action, Budget Explorer may receive a commission or other remuneration. Unless stated otherwise, this does not increase the price you pay. The merchant’s final price, availability, promotion, delivery, returns, warranty and customer service terms are controlled by that merchant.

Affiliate relationships and paid placements are disclosed on the relevant offers and in our Affiliate Disclosure. Budget Explorer is not the seller and does not process the merchant transaction. Any purchase or booking is made directly with the third party under its terms and privacy policy. Verify the offer and terms on the merchant’s website before proceeding.

5. Accounts and security

If you create an account, you must provide accurate information, protect access to your credentials and notify us through the Contact form if you suspect unauthorised use. Account availability and session duration may depend on the authentication provider, browser settings and security controls. You can sign out using the available account controls. Clearing browser data may remove local preferences or sign-in state.

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or third parties, investigate abuse, comply with law or enforce these terms. This is subject to any mandatory notice, complaint or appeal rights that apply.

6. User submissions, photos and ratings

You must submit only information, photographs and reviews that you have the right to share. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences and must not be fraudulent, manipulated, defamatory, discriminatory, unlawful or posted to artificially influence ratings. Do not upload sensitive personal information or personal data about another person unless you have a lawful basis to do so.

You retain your rights in content you submit. You grant Budget Explorer a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display and make available that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, moderate and promote the service and the content you chose to submit. The licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies retained where reasonably necessary for backups, security, legal compliance or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. This licence does not override your statutory rights.

Suggestions may be reviewed, approved, rejected, hidden or removed. Submission does not guarantee publication. Profile photos are used to display the relevant profile; if a profile is expressly presented as the public founder profile, the selected photo may also appear there.

7. Acceptable use

• Do not use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or misleading purposes.
• Do not submit fake reviews, spam, malware, unlawful content or content that infringes another person’s rights.
• Do not scrape, harvest or bulk-extract data, probe or attack endpoints, bypass authentication, or interfere with rate limits or security controls without permission.
• Do not attempt to access another user’s account or private information.
• Do not use Budget Explorer’s content or branding commercially without permission, except where permitted by law.

8. Intellectual property and third-party services

Budget Explorer’s own name, branding, design, code and original text are owned by or licensed to the operator. Third-party names, logos, map data, photos and other materials remain subject to their respective rights and provider terms. Google Maps Platform, Netlify, TradeDoubler and merchants operate independently under their own terms and privacy notices. Linking to a third-party site is not a guarantee or endorsement of all its content, products or services.

9. Availability and liability

The service is provided on an evolving basis and may be interrupted for maintenance, security, technical issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We take reasonable steps to operate it responsibly but do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free data or suitability for every purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate or outdated third-party information, merchant actions, changes to offers, unavailable third-party services or reliance on an unverified itinerary. This does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded or limit rights available to consumers under mandatory law.

10. Privacy and cookies

Use of personal data and device storage is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Those notices explain how to exercise data protection rights and manage optional technologies. These Terms do not themselves constitute consent to optional cookies, advertising or other processing.

11. Reports and complaints

Use the Contact form to report suspected unlawful content, security concerns, an issue with your account, or a request concerning your information. Include enough detail for us to understand the issue, but avoid sending unnecessary sensitive personal data. Where a specific statutory notice, complaint or appeal process applies, it is not replaced by this general contact route.

12. Changes, governing law and consumer rights

We may update the service and these terms to reflect changes to features, providers, security or applicable law. The updated date will be shown at the top. The terms are subject to Greek law and applicable European Union law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections afforded by the law of their country of habitual residence where those protections apply.

13. Contact

Budget Explorer is a personal independent website project operated by Emmanouil Parsonoglou, not a company. For questions about these terms, use the Contact form available on Budget Explorer. The operator should publish any additional identity or contact details only to the extent required by the laws applicable to the site’s actual activities. Affiliate income or other monetisation may affect which disclosure requirements apply even where no company has been formed.
